Free monthly weight loss support conference
calls
The
aim of these informal monthly calls is to get support and motivation from
each other, swap ideas/tips/recipes, set personal goals related to health,
weight and wellbeing, discuss answers to some juicy coachy questions I'll
be throwing in along the way and, most importantly, laugh together.
Callers will be able to share as much or as little about their situation
as they wish, and the idea is that it will be an opportunity to get mutual
support without the inconvenience/tedium/potential embarrassment of going
to a traditional 'diet club'.
We don’t promote any particular diet, pill or potion, so people
doing DIY healthy eating, Atkins, WeightWatchers etc are all welcome.
Those taking part are encouraged to set themselves a personal goal for
the month ahead, which can be as simple as amount of weight to be lost
or tackling an issue which leads them to eat in the first place.
There is a choice of a morning or evening call

How to join in the conference call
1. The call works on what's called a 'bridge' line, in America,
so first I recommend you sign up to one of the various discount call providers
who charge 1p or 2p per minute for calls to the States (this is all fairly
pain free and quick). Try www.18866.co.uk
or www.telediscount.co.uk.
2. After entering the code for
your discount call provider, dial 001 413 200 7075.
3. When prompted for the access
code, dial 913 422 followed by the "# hash" key.
4. Please announce yourself,
you're in the conference call!

Some comments about my monthly weight
loss support conference calls:
“I took part in Claire's second call, wanting
to lose about 3 kg which seems to have become a permanent attachment over
the last couple of years and is slowing me down on the squash court.
Following that one session, among other things I've shifted a long-held
habit. I'd convinced myself long ago that whenever I have a cup of tea
or coffee I "have" to eat something with it - usually a sticky
bun, a cake or a biscuit (more like half a pack). So in the call I took
on a commitment to have a liquid-only beverage at least once a week -
and in fact in the last week I've done it several times.
Now if I can shift that one, then what else....?
There's something special about Claire's style and approach. In particular
she has a gentleness, perceptiveness and understanding which combine to
get great results.
I intend to be on the next call with Claire, even if I've met my weight
target by then (which I'm on track to do), because there are some other
eating habits I want to make permanent changes to.
